Beauty of the World

This song carries the theme of the album full circle because it starts in the depths of despair until the arrival of a shimmering light. I have experienced this moment myself many times while backpacking in the wilderness. You are ready to rile against the world when suddenly, if you stay aware and keep your eyes open, something amazing happens right before you. It is my firm belief that this is an ageless phenomenon. I hope it can be that way for you as well.
It hits you hard like a ton of bricks
And suddenly somethin’ is wrong that you can’t fix.
It takes you out, way out of the mix, I know.

You feel like nothin’s left after the fall.
Maybe you wanna leave and end it all.
No one even comes to call, I know.
But here comes a change, for sure.

CHORUS:
THE BEAUTY OF THE WORLD is just past your last disappointment.
THE BEAUTY OF THE WORLD is just past your last honest try.
Go on ahead and cry.
You never know what road you’re on.
But let the sun come up and dry your eyes.
It’s always darkest before the dawn.

You’ll get better. Time will heal
And all these dark days you’re in will suddenly feel
Like they were meant to reveal the truth.
‘Cuz here comes a change, for sure.

CHORUS:
THE BEAUTY OF THE WORLD is just past your last disappointment.
THE BEAUTY OF THE WORLD is just past your last honest try.
Don’t even ask why
It always seems to work in the end.
Go on outside into the wilderness
It’s always gonna be your best friend.

REPEAT CHORUS and FADE
